At age 86, Father Benoit Haffreingue became an architect in order to rebuild a cathedral to once again house the remains of a relic of the miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary known as “Our Lady of the Sea” in Boulogne sur mer a coastal city in France.

His goal was that the new bell tower be “As tall as a Prayer.”

The Feast of Pentecost celebrates the Holy Spirit coming down onto the Apostles on that 50^th day since the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Did you know that in the Orthodox church when Pentecost ends, kneeling begins once again because the majesty of the Risen Christ is so great that the celebration without being on bended knee goes on all 50 days!

Also in this podcast is the Apparition of the Virgin Mary to Saint Leo the Great. It is known as Our Lady of the Golden Fountain.

Keep Celebrating the Great 50 Day Feast of Eastertime. Trust in the Risen Christ!

Between the Ascension and just before Pentecost, the Apostles could only guess what would come upon them.

But The Virgin Mary already knew

Jesus Christ at that time portrayed his way of leadership and quite a counterpoint to weak leaders like those who challenged Joan of Arc.

May 16 is the Anniversary of Joan of Arc becoming a Saint.

Here’s an amazing reality – Mark Twain wrote a book about Joan of Arc and felt it was his greatest work! Here’s a quote from him (from the Catholic World Report)

Mark Twain was still alive when the Church beatified Joan of Arc in 1909. To a certain extent, his novel remains a puzzling act of devotion from a complicated man. For the great American author, there was no one like St. Joan. He marveled at her confidence in God’s Will, her courage, her simplicity. And in her he saw an example for all time. We can hear Twain’s own voice in the words of his narrator describing Joan: “It took six thousand years to produce her; her like will not be seen in the earth again in fifty thousand. Such is my opinion.”

May is the “Month of Mary” and remembering the 1st of the Fatima Apparitions that took place on May 13, 1917.

Saint Marianne Cope was an America who at age 45 led an expedition to another country that was in medical crisis.

All her life she put faith totally in God and once wrote:

“I am not afraid of any disease.”

She died at 80.
