It had been hidden behind the Iron Curtain for too long. The original built in 1650 stood for 300 years before being destroyed in 1918. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the bravery of the people of Czechoslovakia and their demands for freedom during the peaceful &#8220;Velvet Revolution&#8221;
