{"id":4871,"date":"2025-09-02T07:40:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-02T11:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nikossteves.com\/?p=4871"},"modified":"2025-12-16T06:32:46","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T11:32:46","slug":"473-the-constant-procession-part-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nikossteves.com\/?p=4871","title":{"rendered":"473- &#8220;The Constant Procession&#8221;- Part 13"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Libsyn Player\" style=\"border: none\" src=\"\/\/html5-player.libsyn.com\/embed\/episode\/id\/37740280\/height\/90\/theme\/custom\/thumbnail\/yes\/direction\/backward\/render-playlist\/no\/custom-color\/87A93A\/stats-code\/schedule2535\/\" height=\"90\" width=\"100%\" scrolling=\"no\"  allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This is the thirteenth installment of my first book, <em>The Constant Procession.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The victors of WWII quickly became enemies. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Concerns as to how to rebuild the defeated countries quickly shifted into diverging philosophical camps.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In Chapter 22, Fatima Seer; Sister Lucia, brings forward to the Pope requests made by the Virgin Mary in Portugal in 1917. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cIf you pay heed to my requests, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, Russia will spread her errors through the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. Many will suffer martyrdom, and the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and several nations will disappear.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Back at the time, no actions were taken to honor this request and the prediction for peace lost an opportunity. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The consequence found the dominance of Stalin and his Communists Party becoming the new power on the ground in Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>These armed victors moved quickly into the political vacuum across the war torn lands.&nbsp; Their efforts gained ground, especially in Eastern Europe as they aggressively encouraging civil wars and then help position puppet governments under the shadow of Communist influence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Before long fear and intimidation overcame peaceful transitions and the liberties found in more open societies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Chapter 23 reflects on the environment in the sphere of Soviet influence for people living in a world without social liberty and when Bibles were banished.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The experience of a 7<sup>th<\/sup> day Adventist reveals the level of suppression people of faith had to endure in those times.<\/strong>..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Chapter 24- <em>Hot Pursuit in a Cold War <\/em>brings out how with increasing confidence, the Communists took religion down. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong> The \u201cGreat Return\u201d found fierce resistance in France as the Communists gained control of the political machine. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And<\/strong> <strong>in Hungary the procession yielded fruit, until it was run aground.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/nikossteves.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/sajtofal.jpg.1200x630_q85_crop-center_upscale.jpg\" alt=\"Infographic of street protesters in Hungary in 1956.
