Today I reflect on where we’ve
been, giving me a chance to introduce the theme for Season Eight, the next
installments of “Constant Procession: The Podcast.”

When I started wondering about the Virgin Mary and the
people who ask her to intercede in their prayers to God, the idea never
occurred to me to produce a weekly podcast on the remarkable afterlife of the
Madonna. Even more unexpected—my path led to the many documented appearances
she has made after passing on. Most overwhelming is the fact that her
apparitions have influenced humanity across our common history.

My motivation for these podcasts grew in reaction to three
events. First was my foray into submitting the book manuscript to publishers,
which prompted several polite rejections. The truly frustrating part was the
“time suck” awaiting any response to my query/submission letter to other book
publishers. When does one stop waiting for a response to a query letter—if ever?

My second motivation for creating these podcasts was the
continued emphasis that “authors must have a social media presence, preferably
a social media platform.”

The third, and perhaps greatest motivation for producing the
podcasts, was in reaction to my travels across Europe and Mexico. In these
travels I witnessed awe-inspiring church architecture and magnificent works of
religious art from times past.

These priceless endeavors, crafted by the world’s most-celebrated
artisans and financed by benefactors who clearly loved God, resulted in
magnificent places of worship, second to none in their time. Each one is a
masterpiece that accurately reflects the utmost their creative talents could
offer to honor God.

In today’s world, these places of worship and heavenly
inspired treasures lack appeal when compared to all things modern and all
things readily available—virtually at our fingertips.

My motivation heading into Season Eight is to help reinforce
the relevance of faith in life.

Toward this end, I present an overview of the last seven
seasons and a preview of season eight.

Four of the additional seasons beyond Season One bring to
light lesser-known apparitions of the Madonna.

In Season Two, we were introduced to some of the first
apparitions of the Madonna, beginning just after Jesus was crucified.

Season Three was a departure from her history. As winter was
upon us, I learned a fact that blew me away. The day when most heart attacks
occur is Christmas Day. Christmas Day should be stress-free, and even for those
who do not believe in the reason for the day, it should be a nice, relaxing day
to reflect on the notion of peace on earth.

We took a tour in Season Three, exploring the ways some
spiritual communities offset such stress by commencing activities a month
before the big day, and how they continue to glorify the birthday of Jesus for
the following two weeks after
Christmas Day. It’s my hope that Season Three offers ways to have a stress-free,
more enjoyable Christmas holiday.

In Season Four, I delved into lesser-known visions of the
Madonna appearing to medieval saints in Europe and uncover some remarkable
saints who are celebrated in surprising ways around the world today.

In Season Five, I surprised myself by searching beyond the
Easter Bunny to find that the Easter season starts the day after Mardi Gras and
goes well beyond Easter Day—for as many as fifty more days!

In Season Six, I discovered a relatively recent revival of
the Virgin Mary, who’s currently finding her way back to England. Though brief,
Season Six surveys Great Britain and offers a snapshot of how the sanctioned
destruction of an established church influenced generational attitudes that are
apparently being reconsidered in present times.

Coinciding with the re-release of my book, Season Seven was
produced based on listener feedback, so each installment runs a bit longer and
is free of installments additions.

For Season Eight, I have something unusual in the works
about the Madonna—a departure of sorts. Season Eight will be about the LIFE of the Virgin Mary and her unique
destiny. I hope you enjoy the new season of Constant
Procession and that you’ll tell others about this podcast season.

The origin of these podcasts began with my book; Constant Procession.

(An e-book copy of the book can be found here on the website.)

I’ve read the entire book from cover to cover (Installments 93 – 118) Each installment runs 7 minutes in length.

To listen from the beginning

Installments since Podcast 50 are an extended series of additional stories
about the history of the Virgin Mary that are not found in the book.

Constant Procession; the podcast; is published here every Tuesday morning.

I value feedback through the comments section on my website or better via
email at NikosSteves@gmail.com

PART 18- Epilogue: Final thoughts about the 18-part release of my book Constant Procession plus notes on what I learned about producing a weekly podcast.
