This podcast is about the grotto at Key West’s Roman Catholic Basilica- St. Mary Star of the Sea.
This shrine was built to honor the apparition of the Madonna at Lourdes.
But thanks to a prayer by Sister Louis Gabriel, it does much more!
For 100 years the Madonna’s intercessions requesting God to protect the island from hurricane’s have worked.
Also some history about the nun, Sister Louis Gabriel who’s vision and pledge made these requests possible.
