45- Ch 27; A Full Church

This installment is about the early days in Medjugorje. Things start changing in the village as more and more people came there.

Visitors would congregate in and around the church before and/or after climbing up to the apparition site where the teens first met the Virgin Mary.

Some visitors wanted to go to confession before taking communion. Others visitors simply wished to linger or meditate and they chose to do so around the church grounds.

Before long, church services were offered each evening.

Gradually, even the villagers began to find themselves participating more frequently in these church services as well.

A renewed spiritual energy grew in the little village.

On the world front, President Reagan delivered his “Tear Down This Wall” challenge to the Soviets and East German Government and things in Poland continued to heat up between the God-fearing workers and the Godless Communist regime.

44- Ch 27- The Sword’s Edge

Medjugorje is located in the Balkans, an area where for centuries, different cultures met and overlapped and it must be understood in context with this region of the world.

This area is the “pointy edge of the sword” for humanity.

The Balkans are a place where some people held fast onto their cultural and religious values and fought and died in support of their beliefs.

It is a place where over the centuries; others simply followed what the rulers of the day dictated.

And so it should come as no surprise, that the Madonna chose to appeared here, in this region of the world where World War 1 started.

43- Ch 26; Medjugorje cont.

Within the first few days of the of appearances by the Virgin Mary in Medjugorje back in the summer of 1981, over 3000 people gathered to be near the six visionaries.

During their experiences, the six teens and pre-teens reported that during an apparition they feel outside of time and space.

They say the Madonna told them she is a servant messenger of God and that she delivered a series of requests for humanity, which included specific messages for guidance…

Also in the installment a president and a pope, while recovering from their wounds, each individually recognize a renewed clarity about how precious life is and how they must spend the rest of their lives.

42- Chapter 26- Medjugorje

This installment delves into the realities of life and death in world leadership in the early 1980’s.

At the same time, in a very distant part of the world, far from the trappings of modern times, we light on the earliest experiences of six teen and pre-teenagers who find themselves in the presence of a lady. A “lady in white” who calls herself the “Queen of Peace.”

It begins on June 24, 1981, in a country that no longer exists.

41- Ch 25; Change in the Air

This installment learns of official government and medical documents that testify to the witnessed visual experiences and healings by and for humanity during visitations of the Virgin Mary in Egypt.

Also in this episode is the Madonna’s role on humanity as the effects of oppressive cold war governments continued. Suffering and shortages in the Communist Eastern Bloc countries resulted.

Change was in the air as “under the radar” results began to swirl. And apparitions of the Virgin Mary apparently had influenced friends and foes alike, as witnessed by changes in the Roman Catholic leadership, the United States of America’s leadership, the people of Poland and the leaders in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

All the other Eastern Bloc countries were watching.

40- Ch 25; Apparition for All

In this installment, the cold war actions on the world stage were captured in Time Magazine’s famous 1966 proclamation that “God is Dead.” In the USA in particular it became an often-debated question for humanity during those times of tremendous social upheaval as the 1960’s are well remembered for.

Chapter 25 is entitled An Apparition for All. The Madonna appears over a Coptic Orthodox church in of all places Cairo, Egypt. Christians, Muslims, members of the Jewish community and even the government, witnessed this apparition of the Virgin Mary.

39- Ch 24; Hot and Cold

This installment goes into the challenges for determining the make-up of new governments for the vanquished countries after World War 2. The tensions between the victors took divergent courses.

The inevitable solutions when humanity becomes confrontational over disagreements is typically solved by war, where one side wins the other looses.

But the nuclear age got in the way of this scenario and the advent of mutually assured destruction forced new ways to battle.

From Germany to Viet Nam…the great divide faced off in new different ways.

And the cynicism that followed WWI turned to fatalism following WWII.

As for the Virgin Mary? She was there also.

38- Ch 23; A Godless Society

This installment covers Chapter 23 – A Society Without God followed by the beginning of Chapter 24 – Hot Pursuit in a Cold War.

Two experiences, one a personal story, the other an institutional story that took place in the Soviet Union as it grew in power and strength in the post war years.

The first is about a college graduate who finds himself in prison, almost as soon as he started work in his chosen profession. The second story is about the challenges for an entire religious denomination.

These events reveal how humanity had to “face off” with the growing power of the Soviet regime that was determined to break the spirit of those wanting the liberty to worship freely in their homelands.

37- Ch 22; Marching on

This episode offers a rare “day in the life” look at what people did during the “Great Return,” derived from several prominent eye witnessed accounts. The first observation came from the early beginnings in 1943 France and the other from post war events in Hungary in 1947.

The memoirs also reflect the commitments made by the people from across France and then Europe as the procession marched on as well as some of the activities the governing powers directed in response to people wanting to simply engage in the festivities that were part of the innocent events.

36- Ch 21; Fatima Secret #2

Episode 36 reveals still another uncovered wonderment surrounding the Madonna during WW2 and how it contributed to the confluence of activities that helped humanity gather strength against the Axis Powers during the darkest days of the war.

Also in this installment are the renewed requests to take heed of the Virgin Mary’s second secret of Fatima and the repercussion that begin to unfold for the latter half of the twentieth century.

This installment includes decisive events during WWII that have been overlooked during the passage of time.

Acts of devotion took place at the same time though they are not well know as the terror of this second world war grew and unfolded… overshadowing everything else.

“The Great Return,” started at Lourdes and gained a momentum all its own. And at its lead was the Virgin Mary…

34- Ch 20; WW I vacuum

This installment remembers the void created by the loss of soldiers from WWI who gave their lives in Christ-like service to protect others.

Gone were so many future role models who may have guided their generation towards a different way of living.

In this vacuum cynicism, rather than faith became the hallmark of the “Roaring 20’s” era.

33- Ch 20; Unheard Words

Chapter 20 traces the actions humanity followed in answer to the Madonna’s requests at Fatima.

And in a world lost in the horrific blood bath of the war, it was a “kill or be killed” mindset that won the battle for hearts and minds.

Never the less, in retrospect; the controllers of the media and others in powerful places choose to ignore and not spread the word of the events at Fatima, missing an opportunity to build widespread public awareness of the messages for considering “out of box” alternatives.

32- Ch 19; Kill the Kids?

Fear by the parents for the safety of their children grew as the day for the final appearance of the Virgin Mary came. But this time, all the parents stood by their children. “We will die, if necessary, with our children.”

The crowd, estimated to be well over 30,000 came to see if indeed some sort of a tangible sign or proof that the Madonna was present would occur…

The rest is history.

31- Ch 19; Newsworthy

The seers of Fatima are asked to pray the rosary and told to make everything they do a sacrifice.

And after their initial sightings of the Madonna in Fatima, they find themselves in the news. A growing crowd of somewhere between 3000-5000 people appear by the third date.

Pestered by believers wanting them to ask for miracles, accused of being liars by some family members and threatened to be “boil in oil” by the local government if they didn’t recant, the stakes are high for the three little children, the eldest just ten years old at the time.

30- Ch 19; Fatima

This installment takes us into the turbulence before the start of World War I. A time when modern invention opened up new possibilities for humanity.

In retrospect, what would the world look like today had the tensions that brought all the world into mortal combat been defused before hand?

Though to debate such a reality has no bearing on life today, nor on the lives of our great-grandparents, grandparents and parents anymore – the results cannot be overstated. Because it forever altered the natural growth and maturing of humanity as these generations lost many of their best and brightest.

Human interaction and attitudes of hope and faith took a cataclysmic hit because of the violent destruction.

The Virgin Mary appeared several times before the first world war as the constant procession continues.

29- Ch 18; Napoleon III

This installment finds Napoleon III taking a hard line with people who start coming to Lourdes following the apparition. He finds himself inclined to support the local government officials who are determined to keep the site closed to the public.

When his only son becomes ill, the intrigue at the confluence of a powerful ruler, his religious minded wife and the local government is the little spring at Lourdes that flows along this constant procession.

28- Ch 18; Lady of Lourdes

This installment is about Our Lady of Lourdes… It took place in the year 1858. One request by the Madonna was to have a chapel built where she stood to help people, according to seer Bernadette Soubiron.

And still today it is a major Christian site where people go to heal…with well over a million people coming there each year.

There is a constant stream of people visiting…with people requesting the Virgin Mary to intercede for them, to pass their prayers onto Jesus the Christ on their behalf.

These requests are made hour after hour, day after day…

Though difficult for people without faith to understand… it is a place of comfort for many who travel there…and documented miracles have occurred.
